Soft Black is a four-piece Brooklyn-based band fronted by Vincent Cacchione. Much of Soft Black's lyrical content deals with Cacchione's dreams and nightmares.[1] The band's sound has been described as "a kind of bizarro-world Neil Young,"[2] as well as "[going] against the grain of [Brooklyn]’s more fashionable musical styles."[3] Soft Black was originally notable as a common act at the Sidewalk Cafe in Manhattan, and have since become a staple of the Brooklyn underground music scene.
